Hanging Out at Dad's Place

Dad lives in Port Ludlow, right on the Puget Sound, facing the "mainland" (Widbey Island is in between.) The kids have many memories built up over 12-plus years, of hunting sea creatures on the rocky beaches and in the tidepools.

  • Ilana, Emily and Elena loved making "fort sculptures" on the beach in front of Dad's place.

  • Dad built this little rowboar himself - it is a real beauty. We took it out to a tiny island at low tide to look for crawly slimy things in the tidepools.

  • Check out the studly guy rowing his daughters around the Sound. :) (Emily is pointing at a seal that had just dove under.)

  • This is a panorama inside my parent's house. Click on "Original" image size and scroll to the right. It is a >180 degree view, composed of 12 separate images. (I used the Photoshop CS3 "align and merge" feature - on 12 separate 12 megapixel images at once! Yes, it took awhile.) You will notice that my Dad's legs are missing - he moved before I had swung back around for the second pass of photos. I am missing the view behind me - a picture window looking out on the Sound, and their new entry vestibule (very cool.) I will do a 360 view next time I am there.
