Hiking I - Alta Peak in the Sierras (Kings Canyon)

While at Family Camp at Lake Sequoia, Vin Wolff talked me into a gutty hike in nearby Kings Canyon National Park - 14 mile round trip, 4000 ft elevation gain (to 11,200 ft.) • Here is a full 360 degree panorama from just below Alta Peak (elevation 11,200 ft.) That is Vin perched on that jutting outcrop (the actual Alta Peak, complete with log book - a log book I did not sign...) To see this "up close", click on the "O" image size below, and scroll across. There is a larger (half-full size) version at the end of this gallery.
